Senior Personal Injury Specialist

Haywards Heath (Hybrid)

£39,000 - £43,000

Barker Munro Recruitment is seeking a Senior Personal Injury Specialist to join a fabulous insurer based in Haywards Heath.

In this pivotal role, you will manage a portfolio of personal injury claims across all jurisdictions from start to finish, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations, legislative guidelines, and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Proactively handle complex personal injury and third-party motor claims, maintaining high service standards.

- Conduct regular audits and provide mentorship to team members to uphold quality assurance processes.

- Negotiate effectively with customers, suppliers, and third-party representatives to achieve favourable outcomes.

- Identify and address potential fraudulent claims in accordance with company guidelines.

- Process and authorise claim payments while ensuring accurate reserving on all files.

- Serve as a point of reference and mentor for Personal Injury Handlers.

Requirements:

- Strong experience in personal injury claims handling, with a strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks.

- Proven expertise in negotiation, communication, and influencing skills to manage diverse stakeholders.

- This role involves handling Scottish Claims, Northern Ireland Claims and Vulnerable Road User Claims; Pedestrians, motor cyclists, bicycles. Experience in these areas ith be advantageous.

Experience & Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of personal injury and motor claims law, including experience with the MOJ and OIC portals.

- Solid ability to assess liability, assess damages, and implement settlement techniques.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

You will receive an excellent package with generous benefits. Although the initial period will be office based, once you are signed off, you can work up to 4 days a week from home if you wish.
