Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking two experienced Occupational Therapists to join a countywide, peripatetic OT resource. You will work across teams and localities to ensure equitable access and timely OT support, applying advanced knowledge of equipment, moving and handling, and major/minor adaptations.

You will be a confident autonomous practitioner with strong clinical reasoning, DBS requirement, and a willingness to travel across the county.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and recognised OT qualification.
• Significant social care OT experience and knowledge of legislation.
• Advanced OT interventions including moving and handling, equipment and adaptations.
• Ability to undertake complex assessments with safeguarding and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide countywide OT support as part of the Intake and Response Team.
• Deliver timely, proportionate, person-centred OT interventions.
• Work across teams and localities and manage competing priorities.
