Job summary

Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Leeds is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to deliver specialist, occupation-focused assessment and intervention for mothers experiencing moderate to severe perinatal mental health needs within the Yorkshire and Humber Mother & Baby Unit.

You will enable women to engage in daily activities, develop identity as a mother, promote recovery and well-being through group and individual therapy, and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning

Qualifications

• Expert Occupational Therapy advice to colleagues and external agencies.
• Contribution to high-quality, recovery-focused care planning.
• Assessment and intervention within a holistic pathway for mothers and infants.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary care planning and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert OT advice and guidance to colleagues and external agencies.
• Contribute to high-quality, recovery-focused care planning and delivery throughout admission.
• Develop meaningful, occupation-focused care plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise staff, appraise performance, and support team coordination.
• Shape and embed a robust OT pathway within the service.
