Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior People & Talent Operations Executive to join our People team. You'll be directly responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our People function by owning our systems, designing seamless processes, and ensuring our data is always accurate and insightful.

Who are we?

Ometria is a Customer Data and Experience Platform built for retail marketers to be the fastest route to sustainable growth. Ometria helps marketers plan and launch their most profitable campaigns twice as fast, increasing their customer loyalty and CRM revenue with personalised marketing messages all throughout the customer journey. Our platform combines the data unification and customer insight of a CDP with an experience platform, letting retail marketers easily and efficiently create experiences their customers love.

We are trusted by some of the fastest-growing retail brands in the world, such as Brooklinen, Davines, Steve Madden, and Sephora. We have a team of over 120 Ometrians based in North America and Europe and have raised $75m from leading venture capital funds.

Key Outcomes:
  • Seamless Operations: You will ensure our people systems and processes work flawlessly for all Ometrians, with minimal escalations.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance: You will guarantee that all people data is consistently audit-ready, accurate, and compliant across all our platforms.
  • Automated & Insightful Reporting: You will automate key operational reports and map future reporting needs so that stakeholders have the data they need when they need it.
A Glimpse of Your Day-to-Day
  • Payroll & Reporting: You'll be at the heart of our monthly payroll process, running the systems that collate all the necessary data and changes. You'll also produce insightful monthly reports on People and Talent trends, providing the data that helps us make smarter decisions.
  • Core Process Ownership: You will ensure our most essential operations run like clockwork. From managing right-to-work checks and visa renewals to processing promotions and pay rises, you'll make sure nothing is missed.
Upcoming Initiatives You'll Drive
  • Revamping our OS: You will support the CPO in a full review of the People & Talent team's operating system—rethinking everything from how we leverage our key platforms to how we meet and make decisions.
  • Information Architecture: You will take the lead on redesigning our Operations folder architecture, creating an intuitive system where information is always easy to find and access.
  • Audit Preparation: You will prepare and manage the People and Talent team's contributions for our annual Finance and ISO Audits, ensuring we are always compliant and ready.
  • AI Strategy: You will be a key player in supporting the design and implementation of the People and Talent AI strategy, helping us find new ways to work smarter and faster.
About You and The Role
  • Your Background: You don't necessarily need to come from a traditional HR or People Operations background. If you have a passion for operational excellence, data management, and systems optimisation, and can demonstrate the qualities we're looking for, we would love to speak with you.
  • Your Career Path: This is our first solely operations-focused role and will be a standalone position for the time being. The career path is one of becoming a deep subject matter expert in People Operations, with opportunities to take on more ownership and strategic responsibility as the function grows. This is not a People Experience or HR Business Partnering role.
Key Requirements:
  • Systems Expert: You have in-depth knowledge of Saas platforms and can articulate how a full tech stack works together. You can independently manage vendor relationships and troubleshoot issues. Experience with People platforms such as HRIS and ATS would be ideal but we’re happy to consider candidates who want to transfer into this field.
  • Process-Driven: You are experienced in running people processes independently and have a proven ability to design, document, and roll out new workflows that improve compliance and efficiency.
  • Project Delivery: You can confidently manage small, defined operational projects from start to finish, such as implementing a new workflow or system feature.
  • Data-Fluent: You have a keen eye for detail and know how to manage data to ensure its accuracy and readiness for reporting and audits.
  • Resourceful Problem-Solver: You are a resourceful and creative problem-solver who can manage competing priorities effectively by focusing on business outcomes. You act as an advisor, presenting opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and delivery.
  • AI & Automation Advocate: You are excited by the potential of AI to drive team efficiency. You'll help us leverage the AI features within our existing tools, establish best practices for new collaborative tools (like Gemini), and support the selection and implementation of new solutions to supercharge our team's productivity.
  • A generous holiday allowance of 30 days, plus a day off for your birthday and bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme where Ometria contributes 5% of your base salary.
  • Private health insurance with BUPA.
  • Mental health support through our partner, Spill.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Income Protection and Life Assurance.

The amazing people of Ometria are the core of our business. We believe in making it awesome to be here for all Ometrians and place a continued focus on making Ometria an inclusive, respectful and diverse environment. We're an equal opportunity employer and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to ethnicity, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran, neurodiversity status or disability status.
