Senior People Partner - Employee Relations

Belfast

VANRATH is partnering with Northern Ireland's leading public transport provider, to assist with the appointment of a new Senior People Partner role, situated within their expanding Employee Relations team.

Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations, the successful applicant will work as part of Employee Relations Team supporting various Divisional Business Heads supporting the strategy.

Role Context

  • This role encompasses a major strategic element of the successful delivery of the organisational Employee Relations strategy.
  • The post holder will help shape the strategic Employee Relations agenda, working with the Head of Employee relations, wider HR team and the senior managers in the business.
  • The operating environment is characterized by fast paced change with a highly unionized workforce represented by numerous bargaining units and Trade Unions.
  • As Employee Relations Business Partner you will be a subject specialist
  • The postholder will influence the development of corporate ER policy and practice, reporting to the Head of Employee Relations.

The Person

  • Experience of managing employee relations.
  • Experience of managing and handling the people aspects of change in a unionized environment.
  • Minimum of a Degree with at least 3 years' relevant experience OR Minimum of HNC/HND Qualification with at least 5 years' relevant experience.
  • CIPD qualified
  • Experience of working within a Manufacturing / Operations / Construction organization.
  • Experience of contract negotiation, changes in Terms & Conditions.
