The Senior People Business Partner exists to provide strategic HR support to our agencies in the North of England, including Havas Market, Havas Media, and Additive. This is a leadership role where you’ll partner with the leaders and managers in the businesses you support to deliver a meaningful people experience. You’ll be supported by a 30-strong HR team of generalists and specialists.

Our agencies comprise three main groups: Creative, Media, and Health services. We work with recognizable brands to form strategic and creative partnerships, guiding our clients towards their marketing and communication objectives. The role

You are accountable for people strategy, processes, and approaches across our agencies in the North of England. This involves understanding and managing the employee lifecycle processes and ensuring they are executed to a high standard, either personally or through the HR team and specialists.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Strategic Partnering: Partner with agency leaders, develop and execute people plans aligned with business objectives, anticipate challenges, and use data to inform decisions.
  2. Commerciality: Understand client businesses, challenges, and market context.
  3. Communication: Manage stakeholder communication, build trust, and handle difficult conversations confidently.
  4. Employee Relations: Manage ER cases, ensure compliance with legislation, and track issues for proactive resolution.
  5. Compensation and Benefits: Oversee salary reviews, bonus processes, and benefits consistency.
  6. Recruitment: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure excellent hiring and onboarding experiences.
  7. Talent Development: Establish performance management practices, use data for improvements, and plan for future capability needs.
  8. Equity, Diversity & Inclusion: Work with DEI partners to promote inclusive culture and practices.
  9. Village People Role: Contribute to team projects, build relationships, and mentor junior team members.
