Overview

We\'re seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist based in the UK to provide maternity leave coverage for a key member of our People Advisors team. This fixed-term contract role focuses primarily on EMEA operations, providing critical support for leave management, Employer of Record (EOR) operations, and benefits administration across multiple European jurisdictions. You\'ll work collaboratively across our People Team while providing direct support to managers on various HR and operational matters. This position offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure to international people operations while drawing on deep expertise in UK employment law and EMEA compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage comprehensive leave administration across the UK, Denmark, and the Netherlands, including statutory leave, flexible working requests, and sickness absence procedures
  • Execute tactical EOR operations under strategic oversight, including day-to-day onboarding/offboarding processes, new hire benefits sessions, and routine EOR administration across EMEA
  • Collaborate with EOR management team to implement EOR processes and maintain compliance documentation
  • Coordinate UK/EMEA-wide benefits renewals with our Benefits Lead, working with local vendors and ensuring compliance with regional requirements
  • Provide EMEA immigration support
  • Support employee relations activities and offboarding processes across EMEA
  • Partner with managers across the organisation to provide guidance on people policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Collaborate across the People Team to ensure seamless operations delivery and policy implementation
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role with multi-jurisdictional experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, including leave entitlements, flexible working regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Experience with EOR (Employer of Record) operations and vendor management
  • Proven track record managing benefits administration and renewal processes
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work across time zones and cultural contexts
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday and payroll coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism
  • Experience providing HR guidance and support to managers at various levels
Nice to have
  • CIPD qualification or similar HR certification
  • Experience with Papaya or similar EOR platforms
  • Knowledge of EMEA employment law beyond the UK (particularly Netherlands, Denmark, Germany)
  • Background in fast-growing technology companies
  • Experience supporting remote and distributed teams
