The Role

A State Government Agency is seeking a Senior People and Culture Business Partner for an initial six-month contract with a strong possibility of extension / permanent. They require experienced Business Partners to provide hands-on support and strategic HR advice in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted business partner, proactively engaging with stakeholders to understand workforce needs.
• Provide expert advice on workforce planning, change management, and HR strategy.
• Support organisational change, ensuring compliance with Victorian Government legislation and Fair Work Australia guidelines.
• Use data-driven insights to inform HR decisions and improve business outcomes.

About You

• 5-7 years' experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally in government, infrastructure, or major projects.
• A strategic thinker with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
• Skilled in stakeholder management, workforce planning, and change processes.
• Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment and drive HR initiatives.
