Senior People Advisor - 34 hours per week.

Band 6, £38,682 - £46,580 pro rata, per annum.

As a member of the People Operations Team, to provide a comprehensive day-to-day people service, covering the full range of people / Human Resource related issues, to meet the needs of the Trust and staff in an effective and professional manner.

Main duties of the job

To provide people related and HR advice across the range of complex people / HR issues, developing excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, in order to enable service areas to achieve their departmental, Key Performance Indicators/Targets and Trust corporate objectives.

To support the People Business Partner with the delivery of Operational HR and recruitment advice. Responsible for day to day supervision of a People Advisor, ensuring that HR advice provided is legally compliant and organisational change adheres to the relevant policies, procedures and protocols.

Job responsibilities

You will be an experienced HR professional with MCIPD, who has experience of operating as a Senior HR practitioner in a fast paced environment and be highly competent with People/HR Information systems such as ESR. Ideally you should have proven experience of People/HR in a healthcare setting.

You will have a track record of dealing with a range of people related and HR issues, development of people related HR/OD policies, procedures or strategies and have the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Your knowledge of employment legislation and workforce metrics/information systems will be matched with an ability to provide support and advice on complex employee relations and organisational change matters.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Post-graduate qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Membership of the CIPD
  • Knowledge of employment law and its impact in the workplace
Experience
  • Previous experience in a multi-union service organisation
  • Experience of developing people related HR/OD policies, procedures or strategies
  • Experience in handling employee relation issues, some of which may be highly personal and difficult to deal with
  • Experience of facilitating organisational change
