Rate: Band 6

Location: Gloucestershire

Hours: 37.5

Duration: 3 Months initially

Venn Group are currently working with an NHS organisation in the South West, who are seeking a Senior People Advisor to support divisional managers with ER case work and coaching on things like sickness and performance management.

Main duties of the job:

  • Advise managers and staff in the interpretation and application of terms and conditions of employment, policies, current legislation and codes of practice
  • Provide professional advice and support to managers in dealing with employee relations issues
  • Assist in the education and training of staff and managers in Human Resources issues where appropriate
  • Keep appropriate documentation on all Human Resources issues, particularly dismissals, disciplinary and sickness matters
  • Support the HR Manager and HRBP’s in preparing ‘the bundle’ for Employment Tribunals
  • Regularly undertake the analysis of workforce information and prepare HR reports making use of qualitative, quantitative research and data
  • Assist in facilitating the management of change within the organisation, including involvement in the handling and co-ordination of redeployment matters, consultation with staff and trade union representatives, counselling and assisting with redeployment initiatives
  • Advise and support Managers and staff in TUPE transfer situations ensuring legislative requirements and deadlines are met

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant experience within the public sector (ideally NHS)
  • Exceptional skills and working knowledge / experience in supporting managers on complex ER casework
  • Able to work with little supervision
