Job summary

Referment, a UK analytics and actuarial consultancy, is seeking a senior, non-developer expert in pensions benefits configuration and modelling. You will bridge detailed pensions knowledge with the calculation systems and work with developers who come from pensions backgrounds.

You will define technical specifications, design benchmark tests, and guide features through development and testing, while documenting changes and mentoring staff, with a focus on accuracy and scalable model delivery.

Qualifications

• Broad pensions actuarial knowledge with DB calculations.
• Experience with GMP conversion and anti-franking.
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of C#/VBA desirable.
• Consulting experience and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Agree technical specifications for calculation and modelling systems.
• Design, build and own benchmark tests.
• Work with in-house developers through feature updates as the expert.
• Document changes and update professional requirements for actuarial models.
• Contribute to AI innovation, automation, and new schemes.
• Share pensions knowledge through training and mentoring.
• Support a large existing system and help adapt to changing requirements.
