Due to a number of new business wins, my client, an award-winning Pension Consultancy, is seeking a talented Senior Administrator to join their Defined Benefit team in Birmingham. The role involves prioritising the team’s daily workload and assisting the Administration Manager to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing an effective pension administration service to all clients
  • Completing client work within SLAs and deadlines
  • Handling complex pension tasks such as calculations and scheme projects
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients, trustees, and senior scheme members
  • Attending client/trustee meetings
  • Managing the monthly billing cycle
  • Managing annual projects such as renewals, benefit statements, and pension increases
  • Providing guidance to less experienced colleagues
  • Contributing to process and procedural improvements

Applicants should have good knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes, with the ability to perform complex calculations including leavers, retirements, deaths, and transfers. Typically, candidates will have around 3+ years of technical experience from a third-party or in-house background, along with strong communication, numeracy, and organisational skills.
