Job summary

Barnett Waddingham is seeking a Senior Pension Administrator to join our growing team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role supports hybrid work options across the UK offices, including Glasgow.

You will handle complex benefit calculations and liaise with regulatory bodies as part of a busy pensions operation. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of DB and DC schemes, a background in pension administration, and a willingness to progress professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of both DB and DC occupational pension schemes.
• Proven experience in pension administration and MS Office proficiency.
• Willingness to progress towards a professional qualification; PMI preferred but not essential.
• Financial Services experience in pension administration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand trust deeds and rules for each scheme.
• Carry out complex benefit calculations and handle pension queries.
• Check work for accuracy and compliance with rules, procedures and legislation.
• Authorise benefit payments and oversee pensioner payrolls.
• Coordinate with authorities such as DWP, HMRC and The Pensions Regulator.
• Monitor cashflow and arrange investments or disinvestments as needed.
