Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust’s Nottingham Children’s Hospital is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician (Band 5) to join a dynamic pharmacy team. You will work with clinical pharmacists to optimise medicines, support patient safety, and improve patient experience and flow across the Trust.

The role offers opportunities to develop in medicines management, with flexible shifts and weekend work.

Qualifications

• GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician with Accuracy Checking qualification.
• Medicine Management Assessments or Validations (Accredited scheme or in-house training).
• Proven knowledge of medicine management technician role in hospital pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Improve and support patient care on admission and discharge through medicines management services.
• Assess and, where suitable, reuse patients' own medications and provide thorough drug histories and counselling.
• Prepare discharge prescriptions, one-stop dispensing, and support ward teams with storage and security.]
• Participate in weekends, bank holidays and late duties; flexible shifts to support NUH pharmacy opening times.
