Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust in Hereford is seeking a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Community OT service. You will deliver highly specialist assessment and intervention for children 0-18 and work with families to support development and participation in daily activities.

You will lead and supervise OT colleagues, plan caseloads autonomously, and apply evidence-based approaches to improve outcomes for children and families in Herefordshire.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification to degree level in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC Registration.
• Experience in Children’s Occupational Therapy with paediatric focus.
• Evidence of or willingness to undertake Masters level training.

Responsibilities

• Manage own clinical caseload while leading the OT team.
• Provide highly specialist clinical support and supervision to the team.
• Plan and organise caseload to meet the needs of children and the service.
• Use evidence-based assessments to inform practice and intervention.
• Design individual therapeutic treatment plans for children, with delegated delivery as needed.
