Job summary

Lytham St Annes High School is seeking a Senior PE Technician on a part-time basis (two days per week) to support a busy PE department. The role focuses on preparing resources, maintaining equipment and ensuring safety standards are met across lessons and activities.

You will assist teachers and students, contribute to extra-curricular activities, demonstrations, and help coordinate PE resources and procedures. DBS checks and safeguarding apply.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Ability to prepare resources and equipment safely for lessons.
• Flexible and able to respond to school needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare resources and equipment for lessons meeting health and safety standards.
• Support teachers and students with technical requirements and records.
• Assist with and lead extra-curricular activities and sports events.
• Assist teachers with demonstrations where appropriate.
• Coordinate planning and organisation of equipment within PE.
• Ensure health and safety compliance for equipment and materials.
• Maintain up-to-date first aid qualification and respond to first aid calls.
