Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a dedicated PE Operations professional to join the private equity accounting team in Guernsey. You will handle fund accounting tasks and liaise with Investment Advisors to meet client deliverables in a timely manner.

The role focuses on core accounting, reporting and client service, with opportunities to broaden knowledge across fund products and investment structures within NT’s global platform.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of fund accounting or fund administration of private equity funds, credit funds or perpetual funds is necessary
• Be at a minimum part qualified ACA or ACCA
• Be computer literate with proven ability to learn new systems and processes, with data literacy skills advantageous
• Possess excellent organisation skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities, escalating issues where necessary
• Have customer service orientation with a concern for quality including being effective in the use of a variety of communication methods
• and Ability to problem solve and be a team player

Responsibilities

• Provide premier client service by building strong relationships with the Investment Advisor and other third parties
• Develop knowledge of client bespoke requirements for key processes
• Monitor assigned mailboxes and pro-actively complete tasks
• Support training and assist team members with workloads
• Investments: maintain records, process purchases/disposals and monitor valuations
• Accounting: bookkeep valuations and reconcile accounts
• Client reporting: prepare regular reports for senior management and deal teams
• Investor reporting: respond to adhoc investor queries and prepare/stage reports
• Coordinate with the Accounting Team to meet client expectations and improve processes
• Maintain accounts tracker and liaise with other NT departments
