Senior Payroll Specialist (6-9 Month FTC)

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you’ll help ensure the smooth and accurate processing of payroll for over 3,000 employees across the UK, Ireland, Jersey, and the Isle of Man. You will report to the Payroll Manager and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that emphasizes process improvements and team development.

Responsibilities
  • Payroll Management: Partner with our global managed service provider, Strada, to process monthly payrolls.
  • Systems Expertise: Lead on systems and interface issues, collaborating with the HRIS team.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all reporting and compliance duties are completed accurately and on time.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with HR teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and educate stakeholders on processes and legislation.
  • Process Improvement: Drive efficiency through process enhancements and documentation.
  • Mentorship: Support the Payroll Manager with cross-training and upskilling the team.
Qualifications
  • End-to-end payroll processing experience, with knowledge of UK and Irish payrolls (Jersey and IOM experience is a bonus).
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with payroll systems.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and automation.
