Portfolio Payroll are pleased to be working with a longstanding and highly respected client, on an exciting new Senior Payroll Specialist vacancy.

Due to an internal promotion and positive structural changes, this confidential opportunity has arisen for an experienced payroll professional to join their dynamic and supportive team. This client is know for their specialist expertise and collaborative culture, making this an excellent environment for the next step in your career.

You will be responsible for overseeing and processing complex, multi-client payrolls from start to finish. This includes handling pensions and compliance, ensuring accuracy across all submissions, and supporting in the leadership of a small, skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients
  • Ensure timely and accurate pension submissions and auto-enrolment compliance
  • Resolve queries and support clients with complex payroll needs
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality service
  • Support and mentor junior team members when required
  • Ensure processes remain compliant with HMRC legislation and internal standards

About You:

  • Proven experience in full-function client payroll
  • Strong technical payroll knowledge and understanding of UK legislation
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

  • Experience supervising or mentoring others is desirable
