Job summary

EY in Manchester is seeking a Senior Payroll Associate to join the UK Payroll Operate. You will report to the Payroll Manager and handle a portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring on-time delivery, accuracy and strong stakeholder relationships across the firm.

Responsibilities include processing payroll data, setting up joiners/leavers, BT/OTS tasks, producing reports, and driving compliance with RTI, AE and levy requirements while coaching junior associates and supporting process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience
• Knowledge of payroll compliance incl. AE, RTI, Apprenticeship Levy
• Experience with payroll implementation or service delivery

Responsibilities

• Process payroll data each pay period accurately and on time
• Set up new joiners and terminate employees on the payroll system
• Import pay data and calculate pro-rated payments for joiners/leavers
• Calculate PAYE, NI and Apprenticeship Levy amounts
• Complete payroll reports including general ledger reports
• Ensure RTI, Auto Enrolment and Apprentice Levy compliance
