Hybrid: 3/2 split after 3 months

A leading practice in Colchester is seeking a talented Senior Payroll Administrator to help deliver comprehensive payroll services to their clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll specialist who thrives in a dynamic, client-focused environment. The ideal Senior Payroll Administrator will be CIPP qualified or working toward this qualification, with 2-3 years' experience in a practice setting.

Your Responsibilities

1. Execute end-to-end payroll processing with accuracy and timeliness for multiple business clients
2. Maintain strict compliance with current legislation and regulatory requirements
3. Establish strong relationships through regular client communication regarding payments, HMRC liabilities, and personnel changes
4. Perform reconciliations of HMRC liabilities
5. Deliver expert advice on payroll matters to both clients and their employees
6. Assist clients with specialized reporting needs
7. Help establish new PAYE schemes and manage payroll transitions
8. Conduct manual calculations when necessary

What You'll Need

1. Proven track record as a Payroll Specialist in a professional services environment
2. Comprehensive understanding of payroll systems, regulations, and best practices
3. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities
4. Experience with payroll software applications and Microsoft Office suite
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
6. Professional approach to handling sensitive information
7. CIPP qualification (or working toward it)
