Job summary

Coopman Search & Selection is partnering with an award-winning Regulatory Consultancy to hire a Senior Consultant for the Payments Services practice in the UK. You will advise financial institutions and PSPs/EMIs on regulatory requirements and support FCA licensing processes.

The role emphasises regulatory analysis, client advisory, and collaboration within a supportive, development-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Regulatory experience in financial services (2–3 years) preferred.
• Experience with licensing applications (API or EMI).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interpret and analyse data.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage more than one work stream.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to clients on legislations and regulatory requirements around UK Payment Services.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations such as Payment Services Regulations 2017 and the Electronic Money Regulations 2017.
• Review client documents, applying the necessary legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide support for FCA applications for various Payments Services firms.
• Answer client questions regarding their regulatory obligations from a technical perspective.
• Occasional responsibility to attend clients' sites to perform Payment Services tasks.
• Become a trusted advisor to clients to maintain relationships.
• Support peers within your direct team and share best practices.
