Job Advertisement: Senior/Principal Patient-centred Outcomes Research Scientist

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the pharmaceutical industry? Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior/Principal Patient-centred Outcomes Research Scientist to join their dynamic team on a 9-month contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Digital Endpoints and Patient centred Solutions (DEPCS) department, focusing primarily on neurology, with the potential to contribute to other disease areas.

Contract Details:

  • Contract Length: 9 months
  • Location: UK based office/hybrid (ideally 2 days a week in the office)
  • Working Pattern: Full Time
  • Hourly Rate: £75 to £90 (Outside IR35)

About the Role:
As a Senior/Principal Patient-centred Outcomes Research Scientist, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing patient-centred measurement strategies that are crucial to the drug development life cycle. You will collaborate with a diverse team of PCOR scientists and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure our strategies are fit for purpose and patient-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and strategically execute patient-centred measurement strategies throughout the drug development life cycle in collaboration with study teams and global development teams.
  • Partner with data science and operations experts to ensure successful study start-up, monitoring, and close-out related to clinical outcome assessments (COAs).
  • Implement electronic clinical outcome assessments (eCOAs), oversee linguistic validation, and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Assess the need for new measurement tools to effectively capture the patient experience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in areas such as measurement/digital strategy, linguistic validation, and site and patient engagement related to COAs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of an MSc in Public Health, Psychology, or a related field (PhD ).
  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing and implementing patient-centred measurement strategies, including planning, execution, and dissemination of patient-centred evidence. Experience in a pharmaceutical company or consultancy is ideal.
  • Therapeutic Area Interest: Direct experience in neuromuscular diseases is , or a strong interest in working in this area.
