Job Introduction

Senior Pastry Chef - Canary Wharf - £19.37 per hour - 40 hours, Monday to Friday

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Pastry Chef to lead the pastry function across both Hospitality and Casual Dining within a prestigious corporate environment. This full-time role (40 hours, Monday to Friday) offers the opportunity to combine creativity, craftsmanship, and commercial awareness in a hands-on kitchen leadership role.

You will oversee the full pastry offer - from fine dining plated desserts to everyday grab-and-go treats - ensuring that every product is innovative, trend-led, and accessible. Working closely with the wider culinary team, you will design menus, support events, and deliver outstanding pastry creations that delight guests and associates alike.
Key objectives

  • Deliver pastry excellence across breads, cakes, plated desserts, and casual dining items
  • Balance innovation with relatability, creating products that are both trend-led and appealing to a wide audience
  • Support commercial success through accurate costing, portion control, and minimising waste
  • Enhance the guest experience with memorable pastry creations for both daily dining and high-profile events
  • Collaborate with chefs, hospitality, and front-of-house teams to integrate pastry into wider dining concepts

About you

  • Proven experience as a Senior Pastry Chef in fine dining, hospitality, or premium catering
  • Formal pastry training or recognised qualification
  • Exceptional technical skills, combining classical pastry methods with modern creativity
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with commercial awareness
  • Passionate, guest-focused, and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
