Job summary

Puro Associates in Banbury is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio and deliver year-end and management accounts, plus tax returns. You will lead client meetings, be the main contact for inquiries, and foster lasting client relationships while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires significant practice experience, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and within a team, with on-site office commuting expected.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an accountancy practice.
• Proficiency in accounts, tax, and client communication.
• Ability to commute to the office.
• Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.
• Prepare year-end accounts, management accounts, and tax returns.
• Conduct client meetings, including visits to client premises.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
• Mentor and provide support to junior staff members.
• Collaborate closely with the Director on various projects and client engagements.
