Job summary

The JobsBoard is looking for an experienced Paraplanning Team Leader to guide and develop a team of Paraplanners while continuing to deliver high-quality paraplanning support. This leadership role blends people management with technical guidance and quality assurance to ensure compliant financial planning advice.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years paraplanning experience.
• Experience in an IFA or financial planning practice.
• At least one year researching and preparing reports involving safeguarded benefits.
• Essential knowledge of Defined Benefit pensions and pension transfers.
• Strong FCA regulations, suitability requirements and client fact-finding understanding.
• Experience mentoring and developing Paraplanners.
• Ability to review complex cases and challenge recommendations.
• Experience training and developing Paraplanners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Paraplanning team, manage workflow and pipeline.
• Review client fact-finds to document financial circumstances.
• Prepare compliant draft suitability reports.
• Conduct technical training sessions for the team.
• Maintain regulatory and internal quality standards.
• Coordinate final recommendation reports and case records.
• Monitor performance and deliver regular management updates.
• Ensure FCA requirements and internal policies are followed.
