Job summary

James & Partners is seeking an experienced Level 4 Paraplanner to support UK client recommendations with technical planning, analysis of fact finds, and suitability reports. The role offers hybrid/remote flexibility after onboarding and a strong focus on pensions, investments and cross-border planning.

You will work with advisers and other teams, use cashflow modelling, and contribute to templates and processes as the paraplanning function scales.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Diploma minimum required.
• Around 4+ years UK paraplanning/technical planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of retirement planning, drawdown, pensions, investments and inheritance planning.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical planning work behind client recommendations.
• Analyse fact finds and client circumstances to identify planning considerations.
• Prepare clear suitability reports and supporting research.
• Provide technical support across pensions, drawdown and retirement planning.
• Use cashflow modelling to test scenarios and illustrate outcomes.
• Collaborate with advisers and specialist teams on complex cases.
