IDEX Consulting Ltd in the Home Counties is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to support Financial Advisers with high-quality, compliant financial planning recommendations and suitability reports. I’m looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join a successful IFA practice in the Home Counties as it embarks on it’s next growth phase. Although a predominantly home based role there will need to be the occasional meeting with the Advisors who are based int he South East of England.

This is a key technical role supporting Financial Advisers through the delivery of high-quality, compliant financial planning recommendations and suitability reports. You’ll work across a broad range of advice areas including pensions, investments, inheritance tax planning and protection.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing accurate and compliant suitability reports in line with FCA requirements
• Undertaking complex financial planning research and analysis across pensions (DB & DC), retirement planning, investments, estate planning, protection, and taxation
• Reviewing adviser recommendations for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Supporting advisers with client meeting preparation and ensuring cases progress efficiently
• Liaising with providers and maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Acting as a technical point of reference for advisers and paraplanners
• Contributing to process improvements, training, and paraplanning best practice

Requirements for the role:

• Minimum 5 years’ paraplanning experience within a UK financial advice firm
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning
• Proven experience writing complex suitability reports
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Strong understanding of FCA regulation and compliance requirements
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently
• Level 6 Advanced Diploma (or close to achieving)
• Knowledge of CURO, Voyant, and FE Analytics
