Job summary

Price Ferguson Ltd, Guildford, is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing team. This office-based role focuses on technical paraplanning support across pensions, investments, inheritance tax planning, retirement planning and protection.

You will work closely with Financial Advisers, preparing reports and conducting research with dedicated administrative support to enable advisers to focus on client service and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Previous paraplanner experience within a financial planning firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning.
  • Experience preparing suitability reports and conducting product research.
  • Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and prioritise deadlines.
  • Professional, ethical and client-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed research and analysis of financial planning solutions.
  • Prepare suitability reports, recommendation letters and supporting documentation.
  • Assist advisers in developing appropriate planning strategies to meet client objectives.
  • Analyse pension, investment and protection arrangements.
  • Undertake cashflow modelling and retirement planning analysis.
  • Ensure all recommendations are supported by robust research and compliant documentation.
  • Liaise with advisers, providers and administrative staff to ensure cases progress efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Keep up to date with legislative, taxation and technical developments affecting financial planning.
  • Support the firm's commitment to delivering high-quality client outcomes.
  • Follow internal compliance procedures and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of paraplanning processes and standards.

Location: Guildford, Office Based

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 (Dependent on Experience)

An established and highly respected independent financial planning firm is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing team in Guildford.

The Opportunity

Working closely with a team of Financial Advisers, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive paraplanning support across a broad range of financial planning areas including pensions, investments, inheritance tax planning, retirement planning and protection.
