Job summary

mbf. Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its established Financial Planning team.

You’ll produce high-quality suitability reports and support client meetings in a collaborative environment. With a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and at least 3 years’ paraplanning, you’ll work alongside senior planners in a hybrid role offering study support and a salary up to £55,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
• At least 3 years of paraplanning experience.
• Strong report-writing and technical research skills.
• Good knowledge across pensions, investments, taxation and estate planning.
• Ability to manage own workload alongside senior planners.

Responsibilities

• Producing high-quality client-focused suitability reports
• Undertaking technical research across pensions, investments, taxation and estate planning
• Preparing cashflow modelling to support clients' long-term plans
• Supporting annual reviews and ongoing Financial Planning work
• Attending client meetings alongside Financial Planners where appropriate
• Preparing meeting notes and briefing advisers ahead of meetings
• Managing your own workflow and taking responsibility for the quality of your work
• Sharing technical knowledge and best practice across the wider team
