Senior Panel Beater

Location: Ross on Wye, Herefordshire

Salary: 52,000 - 61,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme

Working Hours: Monday - Friday

Our client, a leading vehicle body repairer based in Leeds, Yorkshire, has an exciting opportunity for a Panel Beater. The company offers an excellent working environment with growth potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs.
2. Use hand tools and power tools to remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle panels.
3. Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs.
4. Weld panels and perform metal shaping techniques to restore vehicle structure.
5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good condition.
6. Follow schematics and technical drawings for accurate repairs.
7. Communicate effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines to provide excellent customer service.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Panel Beater or similar role within the automotive industry.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
3. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
4. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
5. Good customer service skills and effective communication with clients.
6. ATA qualification or equivalent.
7. Training in aluminum manufacturing for Land Rover, Tesla, or VW Group is desirable.
