Your tasks

  • Performance of paint technician duties and deputise for paint technology coordinator when required, including occasional nightshift and weekend cover, taking appropriate decisions and cross shift communication
  • Plan and organise personnel capacity for paint technician to meet customer programmed requirements. Monitor and report production KPIs, utilisation, scrap, quality, absence.
  • Manage consumable stock levels and order new consumables/ equipment and external contractor control (cleaning service/ maintenance)
  • Support and drive continuous improvement activities to optimise equipment and processes and conduct problem solving activities to solve quality/ process issues if they arise.
  • Understand the paint technician role fully eg perform process analysis, cleaning and maintaining the process and store hazardous chemicals and other aspects of the role
  • Provide training to paint technicians where required and work with other functional areas of the plant to ensure quality parts are supplied

Your Profile

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, preferable in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge electrocoating systems/ technology and waste water treatment
  • Brose applicable painting Standards/ General Paint technology awareness through industry training
  • Excellent at problem solving
  • Supervisory experience is advantageous
