Job Overview

We're looking for a seasoned Senior Paid Search Manager on a contract basis (£400 - £450 day rate). You will be responsible for driving high-converting traffic to our site through Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other paid search channels. You’ll optimise Shopping, Performance Max, and Search campaigns, leveraging AI-driven automation, audience segmentation, and first-party data strategies to maximise ROAS and revenue growth.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in data-driven performance marketing, understands eCommerce customer behaviour, and knows how to optimise product feeds, landing pages, and conversion funnels.

Requirements

• Global budget management of £7M+ with delivery against performance targets
• Plan, launch, and optimise Google Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen and Microsoft Ads campaigns
• Manage and refine product feed optimisation for Google Merchant Center
• Leverage Smart Bidding, Audience Targeting, and AI-driven automation to scale efficiently
• Implement remarketing and customer segmentation strategies using first-party data
• Conduct A/B testing on ad copy, product images, and bidding strategies
• Monitor eCommerce KPIs (ROAS, AOV, CVR, CPA, CTR, LTV, etc.) and adjust campaigns accordingly
• Collaborate with design and content teams to improve ad creative and landing pages
• Management of a paid search exec
• Analyze GA4, Looker Studio, and CRO data to identify growth opportunities
• Stay up to date with Google Ads trends and privacy-first tracking solutions

Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Google Ads, Shopping Ads, Performance Max and Demand Gen
• Proven track record of scaling eCommerce PPC campaigns against ROAS targets
• Strong expertise in Google Merchant Center and product feed optimisation
• Experience with GA4, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Enhanced Conversions
• Ability to analyse data, track attribution, and optimise for incremental revenue growth
• Solid understanding of attribution models and MMM tools e.g. Fospha
• Knowledge of first-party data strategies, remarketing lists and customer segmentation
• Strong understanding of privacy-first advertising (GA4, server-side tracking, GDPR, CCPA)
• Excellent skills in A/B testing ad creatives, landing pages, and bid strategies
• Exceptional data storytelling skills and the ability to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

• Background in CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) and funnel testing and/or background in data analytics
• Experience managing Amazon Ads, TikTok Search Ads, or retail media networks
• Fluency in a second language is also a plus but not required
