Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Therapy Assistant to join the Paediatric Therapy Team. The role involves supporting paediatric physiotherapy across community settings, including schools and the Child Development Centre, with opportunities to work in hydrotherapy pools and group sessions.

The post requires excellent communication and the ability to work independently. A driving licence is essential for community visits, and professional CPD support is available

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant level 3 NVQ or an equivalent level of experiential knowledge and experience in an appropriate area.
• A minimum of 2 years recent experience in a related health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified physiotherapists to deliver paediatric physiotherapy to children and young people across the Wirral.
• Maintain documentation in line with AHP and Trust standards.
• Manage delegated workload with support from the Therapist.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the team with clerical and admin tasks.
• Ensure safe use of equipment during treatment.
