Job summary

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine to join their established team at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The post includes responsibilities across outpatient and inpatient care for respiratory and cystic fibrosis patients and the potential to develop subspecialty interests.

The role offers participation in a Trust-wide development program, with on-call and teaching responsibilities, and potential up to 2 additional

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration required.
• MRCPCH by examination or equivalent.
• Higher Degree (MD, PhD, etc) and management training are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Join an established Respiratory and CF service providing outpatient and inpatient care.
• Develop subspecialty interest in LTV and sleep as needed; support CF service development and lung function testing.

Education

MRCPCH by examination or equivalent

Full GMC registration

On the GMC’s Specialist Register OR within six months of CCT

Higher Degree (MD, PhD, etc)
