St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a substantive Consultant in Paediatric and Perinatal Pathology. The post covers 10 programmed activities, based at St George’s Hospital, and includes perinatal post-mortem pathology, placental pathology, and routine paediatric surgical pathology.

The appointee should have specialist training in paediatric and perinatal pathology and have passed the Final Paediatric Pathology Fellowship Exam or equivalent.

Competenze

• Specialist training in paediatric and perinatal pathology.
• Final Paediatric Pathology Fellowship Exam of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent.
• Full and independent clinical responsibility for paediatric and perinatal pathology reporting.
• Active participation in clinical audit and teaching.
• Recent experience in independent reporting.

Mansioni

• Provide paediatric and perinatal pathology reporting service.
• Participate in perinatal/post-mortem service and placental reporting.
• Report routine paediatric surgical pathology.
• Engage in relevant clinicopathological meetings and MDTs.
• Contribute to training and supervision of junior medical staff.
