Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide paediatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment within our Children’s Community Health Team. You will plan therapy, supervise students and junior clinicians while delivering evidence-based plans for complex cases.

Based in the southeast Surrey area with hybrid working, the role requires HCPC registration, a relevant degree, and post-graduate training in child development.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy required and HCPC registered.
• Post-graduate training in child development and neurodevelopmental conditions is desirable.
• Strong communication and time-management skills essential for paediatric practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise daily delivery of therapy services by therapists and assistants.
• Supervise students and Band 5 staff; complete appraisals and line management.
• Independently manage and prioritise own caseload.
• Assess children with performance difficulties; provide advice and interventions.
• Formulate treatment plans, write reports, and evaluate outcomes.
• Liaise with health, education, and social care professionals; attend case conferences.
• Ensure safeguarding and incident reporting compliance.
