Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Community OT team in Herefordshire. The role focuses on highly specialist paediatric assessment and intervention for ages 0–18, with autonomous clinical practice and leadership responsibilities across the OT team.

You will develop the highly specialist role within the service, ensuring evidence-based paediatric practice and timely access to expertise.

Competenze

• Essential: Professional Qualification to degree level in Occupational Therapy
• Essential: HCPC Registration
• Desirable: Leadership/Management qualification
• Desirable: Masters level CPD or equivalent training

Mansioni

• Lead and manage the Occupational Therapists and support staff within the team to enable development and transformation of services.
• Work autonomously as an advanced practitioner in the community across Herefordshire.
• Use evidence-based standardised and non-standardised assessments with children to establish functional ability for planning.
• Design individual therapeutic treatment plans for children, delivering directly or via delegated staff, families or schools.
• Provide supervision, training and support to junior staff and students where applicable
