Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Paediatric Community Physiotherapist (Band 7) for Brent on a 1-year fixed-term contract starting January 2027. The role covers specialist assessment and treatment for 0–19-year-olds with complex needs across community settings.

You will provide leadership, manage a caseload, liaise with health, education and social care colleagues, and contribute to service development in a supportive MDT environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, treatment and management for children and young people aged 0–19 with complex physical needs.
• Manage a community caseload across homes, nurseries, schools and clinics.
• Assess and recommend specialist equipment and mobility aids to support children’s changing needs.
• Work collaboratively with Health, Education and Social Care to deliver coordinated care and support transitions into adult services.
• Provide clinical leadership, supporting pathway development and service improvements across Brent.
• Line manage, supervise and develop junior staff, assistants and physiotherapy students through appraisal, teaching and clinical supervision.
• Contribute to clinical audit, service transformation, training and evidence-based practice to improve outcomes for children and young people.
