Job description
Overview

The main purpose of this role is to provide a range of clinical care working in one or more specialist areas of Paediatric Audiology. The post holder will regularly work across sites and alone at outstations. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining clinical records in relation to the activities carried out. The post holder will also supervise or train less experienced staff and be a point of contact for junior staff regarding routine cases, and provide advice regarding the specialist area(s) they work in. The post holder may also lead a team working in a specialist area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care in paediatric audiology across specialist areas.
  • Work across sites and at outstations; maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Supervise or train less experienced staff and act as a point of contact for junior staff on routine cases; provide expert advice in specialist areas.
  • May lead a team in a specialist area.
Qualifications
  • Hold an undergraduate degree in audiology.
  • Registered with the HCPC as a healthcare science practitioner in audiology.
  • Experience as an audiologist and commitment to healthcare science as a lifelong learning career; eagerness to develop in paediatric audiology.
