Job description

Job Title: Senior P&C Treaty Specialist

Location: London (Hybrid Working Available)

Team: Reinsurance – Property & Casualty Treaty

Reporting To: Head of Treaty Reinsurance

Salary: £80,000 Depending on Experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end placement of proportional and non-proportional P&C treaty programmes, focusing on large, complex global risks across territories including the UK, Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
  • Draft, review, and issue treaty documentation including slips, endorsements, broker agreements, and treaty wordings with high technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, including cedants, MGAs, and insurers, providing strategic advice, renewal planning, and performance reviews.
  • Engage with London Market reinsurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, and global capacity providers to secure innovative and competitive solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including operations, claims, and contract teams to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of junior staff through technical support, knowledge sharing, and informal mentoring.
Candidate Profile:
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in P&C treaty reinsurance broking, with demonstrable exposure to large, complex multinational risks.
  • Deep technical knowledge of proportional and non-proportional treaty structures and documentation standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain high-value client and market relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience managing portfolios across multiple lines and territories.
  • ACII qualified or working towards a recognised industry qualification is desirable.
