Job summary

SSE is seeking a Senior OT Operations Manager to lead the ADMS and Control Systems portfolio across Distribution assets. You will manage internal and external teams, oversee OT platforms, and drive cyber risk mitigation and incident recovery.

The role focuses on resilient, secure OT across multiple sites and requires UK vetting and five years of residency. You will contribute to digital strategy, manage budgets and investments, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering complex projects

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of OT systems and networks, including ADMS/DMS/DERMS experience.
• Sound understanding of cyber-physical/IoT/OT/IACS systems.
• Thorough understanding of engineering and cyber security risk assessment and mitigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including producing clear, unambiguous technical documents.
• Proven management experience in industrial control systems, with successful service delivery and experience building high-performing, multidisciplinary teams across diverse locations

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of the Distribution digital strategy as a member of the Operational Technology & Telecoms Leadership Team.
• Manage the internal and third-party ADMS+ & Control Systems pillar teams, and the OT Technical Support team, including budgets, investment planning, team culture, performance, skills development and succession planning.
• Manage central OT platform and applications and associated systems through to the network boundary, ensuring resilience, regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies.
• Oversee system improvements and upgrades, ensuring effective project management and delivery capability; define OT standards and verify requirements throughout new-build development and construction.
• Work with the Cyber Security Manager and business stakeholders to meet cyber security requirements, manage mitigations and security interfaces, and develop effective incident response and disaster recovery plans.
