Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist Specialist to join the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Team in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This locum, full-time post offers up to £26.00 per hour with weekly pay and a 2-month contract.

You will deliver specialist OT assessments and interventions within multidisciplinary teams, managing a defined caseload of service users with complex needs and promoting recovery and independence.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration.
• Proven experience in mental health and learning disability settings.
• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to manage an autonomous caseload.
• Postgraduate training and an up-to-date CPD portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Undertake specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions.
• Manage a defined caseload of service users with complex needs, promoting recovery and independence.
• Deliver Occupational Therapy treatment programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to contribute to care planning and risk management.
• Supervise junior staff, support workers, and students, fostering a culture of learning and development.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
• Participate in service development and quality improvement activities, driving positive change.
