Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist for a mental health service in Ayr, Scotland. The role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with flexibility.

You will lead OT service delivery, assess patients, supervise junior staff and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment. Applicants should hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy, be HCPC registered, and have at least 2 years post-registration experience in mental health

Qualifications

• Hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Be registered with the HCPC.
• Have a minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience.
• Experience working within mental health services.
• Occupational Therapists looking to progress into a senior role are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with other Occupational Therapy leads to develop and review local policies and procedures.
• Take a lead role in delivering a high-quality, evidence-based OT service.
• Act as a source of specialist OT knowledge for service users and colleagues.
• Manage and coordinate day-to-day delivery of OT services.
• Undertake comprehensive OT assessments including sensory assessments where appropriate.
• Manage a specialist caseload using evidence-based practice and client-centred principles.
• Supervise junior OTs, assistants and students where appropriate.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to develop rehab and recovery-focused treatment programmes.
