Job summary

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 7 Occupational Therapist Team Lead for the Emergency Department at QE Hospital. The post leads the medical OT team, manages complex caseloads, and drives service development with a focus on safe discharge planning and governance.

You will supervise staff, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to QA, teaching, and clinical governance initiatives across the pathway.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration required.
• Eligible for MSC in a related subject and BAOT membership.
• Evidence of post-graduate education and CPD activity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Occupational Therapy team within the ED pathway.
• Provide expert assessment and high-level discharge planning in a high-pressure ED.
• Coordinate education, governance, audit, and research within the pathway.
• Ensure safe, effective service development and dissemination of best practice.
