Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited in Birmingham seeks a Principal Consultant to lead OT cybersecurity programmes across energy, utilities and transport sectors. You will shape strategy, manage client relationships and guide multi-disciplinary teams on live industrial sites.

You will design secure OT architectures, implement segmentation and risk-based controls, and apply frameworks such as IEC 62443 and NIST CSF. Travel across the UK and UK security clearance readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive OT Cyber Security Experience in OT environments such as energy, utilities or transport.
• Leadership & delivery of complex security engagements on live industrial sites.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects in a matrix organisation and manage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead OT Cybersecurity Programmes: oversee multiple complex OT projects and align with client objectives.
• Design secure OT architectures and implement security controls (network segmentation, IC/SCADA hardening).
• Establish OT cyber security governance and perform risk assessments using IEC 62443, NIST CSF.
• Develop and enforce OT security policies and ensure regulatory alignment (NIS Regulations, HSE OG-0086).
• Engage clients and senior stakeholders, articulate cyber security in business terms.
• Lead project teams, mentor junior consultants and ensure on-time delivery and quality.
