Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient stroke service at Hereford County Hospital. The role covers acute stroke and rehabilitation within a multidisciplinary team, with weekend working rota and part-time hours.

You will contribute to timely assessments, MDT decision making and service development, supported by a commitment to CPD and professional registration.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification to degree level or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC Registration.
• Experience in NHS inpatient acute or stroke settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat stroke patients alongside MDT colleagues in fast-paced settings.
• Contribute to MDT decision making and care planning.
• Deliver timely interventions across hyperacute/acute stroke and inpatient rehabilitation.
• Maintain records and communicate effectively with the team.
