Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking an Orbital Analyst to support Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA). You will monitor UK-licensed space assets, provide timely technical analysis, and enable safe satellite operations for civil and commercial users.

The role involves developing SDA/SSA tools, collaborating with national and international partners, and contributing to UK SST programmes. Occasional travel to UK sites may be required; programming experience is essential.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, engineering or science.
• Experience in SSA/SST/Space systems.
• Programming and software lifecycle experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SDA/SSA tools and capabilities.
• Define technical and security requirements for SDA sensors.
• Provide technical advice to customers and partners on SDA capabilities.
• Support UK space industry customers and international stakeholders.
• Collaborate on SDA/SSA projects and future opportunities.
