Remote UK
Oracle Fusion | Major Government Transformation
Ready to lead a payroll transformation at genuine scale?
This is an opportunity to take a senior leadership position within one of the UK's most significant government shared services transformation programmes.
A major technology and business services organisation is undertaking a complex transformation to modernise and insource back-office services across several government departments.
At the heart of the programme is the implementation of Oracle Fusion Payroll, supporting a government workforce of approximately 250,000 civil servants.
The programme is looking for a highly experienced payroll implementation specialist who can take ownership of critical payroll readiness, testing and service transition activities.
This is not a traditional payroll operations role, nor is it a generic project management position.
The successful candidate will be the senior payroll implementation authority, bringing deep expertise in payroll transformation, testing and reconciliation, alongside the confidence to challenge major System Integrators and influence senior stakeholders.
Public sector experience is advantageous, although candidates from large, complex private sector payroll transformations will also be considered.
This is a genuinely senior opportunity to influence the successful delivery of a major government transformation.
You will have ownership of a critical payroll implementation workstream, work alongside leading technology delivery partners and help shape the readiness of a new payroll service operating at significant scale.
The programme is expected to continue through to May 2029, offering a long-term opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
