Job summary

Aberdeen is seeking a Senior ERP Technical Analyst to support and enhance its Oracle ERP Finance platform, covering Supplier Portal, GL, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, AR and AP. You will translate Finance requirements into system changes and coordinate patching, releases and issue resolution.

The role requires strong Oracle ERP Finance experience, preferably within Oracle Cloud ERP, and the ability to work with finance, procurement and IT teams to ensure stability and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Strong Oracle ERP Finance experience, ideally within Oracle Cloud ERP.
  • Functional finance knowledge with practical technical skills across configuration, patching, release testing, troubleshooting, reporting and service management.
  • Able to work with business and technology teams with good attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Investigate and resolve issues across configuration, data, integrations, reporting, access and scheduled processes.
  • Work with Finance, Procurement and Accounts Payable stakeholders to understand requirements, support testing and maintain clear process documentation.
  • Maintain strong controls through clear documentation, test evidence, run books, change records and release readiness materials.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior ERP Technical Analyst with strong Oracle ERP Finance knowledge and the confidence to work across business and technology teams. The role will support and improve Aberdeen’s Oracle ERP Finance platform, including Supplier Portal, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The successful candidate will translate Finance requirements into system changes, lead patching and release activity, resolve production issues and work with stakeholders, vendors and Oracle support to keep the platform stable, controlled and ready for future change.

Key areas of accountability & outcomes for this role include:
  • Support and enhance Oracle ERP Finance modules, including Supplier Portal, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Candidate requirements

The successful candidate will have strong Oracle ERP Finance experience, ideally within Oracle Cloud ERP. They will combine functional finance knowledge with practical technical skills across configuration, patching, release testing, troubleshooting, reporting and service management. They should be comfortable working with both business and technology teams, with good attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

The role holder will have:
  • Strong understanding of Oracle ERP Finance processes, particularly Supplier Portal, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP Finance configuration, including set-up changes, impact assessment and controlled promotion through test and production environments.
  • Experience configuring Supplier Portal onboarding, registration, approvals, questionnaires, notifications and process controls.
  • Experience leading Oracle ERP patching, quarterly updates, regression testing, defect management and go-live support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across scheduled processes, data loads, transaction processing, reporting, interfaces and integrations.
  • Experience using ERP reports, data extracts, reconciliations and exception analysis to support Finance operations.
  • Good awareness of Oracle ERP roles, access, permissions and segregation of duties controls.
  • Experience supporting testing, documentation, Oracle service requests, incidents, problems and change management activity.
